The SMC/PMI Anodized Grip is a solid, compact rope grab that can be used as a ratchet or to grip a kernmantle rope. The compact curved body is easy to grip, and the user-friendly release mechanism makes attaching it to a rope – loaded or unloaded – simple and efficient. The specially designed cam protects your rope in the event of unexpected loading, but the SMC/PMI Anodized Grip is not designed as a belay or fall protection device.
