The Adaptive Technologies Group CP-16 bridges two structural ceiling studs on 16 in centers, wood or metal, to give a secure surface for Adaptive ceiling mounts. It can go over drywall or plaster as long as it is anchored into the structure.

The low-profile plate is rugged alloy steel with two double flanges and a baked-on black powder coat, rated 150 lb (68 kg).
