ANSI certified version of the well known Back-Up fall arrester for creating systems intended to prevent and/or arrest a fall (retention, work positioning, rope access systems, etc.)

Kong Back-up fall arrester comes with a 12' long lanyard and a connector. It features the revolutionary design that offers two function modes, FREE MODE & LOCK MODE and stops the possible falling. 2 Function Modes of Kong Back-up Fall Arrester

There are 2 modes - FREE MODE (Up & Down Mode) and LOCK MODE (Only Up Mode). In order to choose the desired mode, you need to push down the button and move the lever to the mode required. When it is on “FREE MODE” (Top), the device can travel smoothly and freely on a lifeline in both directions. When it is on “LOCK MODE'' (Bottom), it only slides in one direction only (upwards) and used as a work positioning device. Kong Back-up Fall Arrester will automatically engage and lock onto the lifeline in the event of a fall, arresting the user.

Due to its special manufacture, BACK-UP supports the strongest stress in a semi-dynamic way avoiding the shocking effects on the ropes caused by the traditional self-locking devices with toothed cams.
