Similarities
Both these helmets are best sellers and for good reason. They feature a tough shell to withstand impact from above and the sides, setting the bar in comfort and protection.
The comfort does not stop there. They both ensure a precise fit thanks to their adjustment wheels and chinstrap adjustors. Their chinstraps also prevent uncomfortable irritation of the skin.
By offering multiple colors including hi-vis options, every worker can effectively identify the location of different parties in the workplace, improving work productivity and minimizing confusion.
You can also customize your safety helmet by attaching a visor, earmuffs, headlamp and so on to maximize work effectiveness and protection.
Differences
These helmets offer unique benefits that workers can avail themselves of based on their workplace needs. They both ensure safety across various professions, but each helmet is designed for different environments based on its unique features and intended conditions.
The unique feature of the VERTEX® VENT is its DUAL chinstrap, enabling the helmet to be used for both mountaineering/work at height (EN12492) and groundwork (EN397).
Its DUAL chinstrap allows a worker to adjust chinstrap strength (low strength or high strength) in order to adapt the helmet to different environments. To change the chinstrap strength, you can switch the positions on the clip of the chinstrap.
-
High strength (>50kg) required for EN12492 standard: involves higher impact tests and requires the chinstrap to keep a helmet on one’s head during a fall, limiting the risk of losing the helmet during a fall
-
Low strength (<25kg) required for EN397 standard: involves impact tests at low height and requires the chinstrap to release at a fairly low load, limiting the risk of strangulation if the helmet is snagged while the user is on the ground.
The VERTEX® VENT also mixes comfort with hygiene with 12 air intakes around the helmet. This reduces and dries out residue in the helmet that may build up throughout a hard day’s work.
The Zenith X2’s unique advantage is its ability to withstand high currents of electricity. By meeting the ANSI Z89.1 Type II - Class E standard, it is ensured that this helmet can prevent injury in electrical environments tested at 20,000 volts. This helmet would be ideal for workers who are exposed to electrical hazards throughout their workday.
The KASK Zenith X2 is an EN12492 industrial helmet predominantly for work at height. This ensures the chinstrap withstands pressures of over 50kg to prevent loss of the helmet during a fall.
