Fall Protection Harness

When it comes to personal protective equipment and building your Personal Fall Arrest System, a safety harness is a must. Protecta full body harnesses offer a no-frills solution to reliable fall protection. At MTN Shop, we currently offer two variants of the 3M™ Protecta® PRO™ construction style positioning harness: with comfort padding and without comfort padding. 

The 3M™ Protecta® PRO™ Construction Positioning Vest-Style Harness (1191226) has been designed for the benefit of professionals in the construction industry. Remain both comfortable and productive while working at height with this vest-style harness that features tool rings and a body belt for added tool carrying capability. Other features include a back D-ring, hip pad, shoulder pads, and pass-through buckle leg straps.

Shock Absorbing Lanyards

Besides harnesses, shock absorbing lanyards are a staple of personal fall arrest systems. These key pieces of equipment reduce the amount of kinetic energy created when a body falls. While non-shock absorbing lanyards are good for restraint, you need a shock absorbing one to help during fall arrest.

3M™ Protecta® PRO™ Pack 100% Tie-Off Shock Absorbing Lanyard

This 6’ twin-leg lanyard provides 100% tie-off compliance and can limit fall arresting forces to 900 lbs. (4 kN) with the help of its PVC shock pack. In the event of a fall, the shock pack tears in a controlled action and extends and absorbs energy during the fall. This lanyard has self-locking steel rebar hooks with large gate openings and a self-locking snap hook at the center for harness attachment.

3M™ Protecta® PRO™ Pack Elastic 100% Tie-Off Shock Absorbing Lanyard 6'

This 6' shock absorbing lanyard has a unique stretchable design that offers both freedom of movement and reduces trip hazards and snags. When not in use, the safety lanyard contracts to 4-1/2', and extends to 6' when pulled taut.

3M™ Protecta® PRO™ Pack Shock Absorbing Single-Leg Lanyard 6'

This 6’ PRO Pack lanyard features durable webbing and plated alloy steel hardware optimized for strength and corrosion resistance. The PVC shock pack contains the energy absorber that is capable of limiting fall arrest forces to safe levels. This particular safety lanyard is end fitted with a snap hook and a self-locking steel rebar hook with a large gate opening to accommodate larger anchor points.

Fall Protecting Lifelines

The 3M™ PROTECTA® Rebel™ Self Retracting Lifeline offers an economical solution to fall protection. In the event of a fall while working at-height, the Rebel™ takes action: a speed sensing brake activates, stops the fall, and reduces the force of the fall. This model has a 50 ft. galvanized steel cable lifeline in a rugged, yet lightweight thermoplastic housing.

Note: Besides a full body harness and deceleration device (such as a shock absorbing lanyard), a personal fall arrest system also requires anchorage, a connector (such as a lanyard), and an emergency plan and equipment.
