Rescue Rope Bags for Professional Applications
CMC Rope Bags are designed to support rope rescue and industrial rope access operations where organized rope storage and reliable deployment are essential. The bags allow rope to be packed, transported, and deployed while keeping the rope organized and accessible during technical operations.
The larger models provide substantial capacity for longer rescue and access ropes, while the compact Model #1 is suited to shorter rope lengths and lighter loads. If additional volume is desired for easier packing or to accommodate extra equipment, CMC recommends selecting the next bag size up.
Rope Bag Capacity and Sizing
CMC measures rope bag capacity by firmly hand-packing new rope into the bag to the base of the closure collar, leaving enough space for the bag to close securely. Capacity varies according to rope diameter and bag model.
Model #1 provides 700 cubic inches (11 L) of volume and holds up to 100 ft (30 m) of 1/2 in (12.5 mm) rope or 125 ft (38 m) of 7/16 in (11 mm) rope. Model #6 provides 7,450 cubic inches (122 L) of volume and holds up to 650 ft (198 m) of 1/2 in rope or 800 ft (244 m) of 7/16 in rope.
